Lasers make it possible to perform high-precision and often painless procedures to remove unwanted hair and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, scars, uneven pigmentation, and leg veins.
As we age, our skin begins to change as a result of several different life factors. Laser skin rejuvenation is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure used to reduce the appearance of some of these skin changes. It offers patients many advantages over traditional resurfacing procedures such as chemical peels and microdermabrasion, as it practically eliminates side effects such as bleeding and bruising.
Laser skin rejuvenation can be used to treat:
This is one of the most popular treatments we offer. A laser is a device that produces light of a single color, or wavelength. Lasers used in dermatology emit pulses of high-energy light that are taken up, or absorbed, by the desired target. Different wavelengths are used for different targets. In the case of hair removal, the target is the melanin pigment contained within the hair shaft, which is the pigment in our skin that gives us color.
The bulbs of the hair follicles are rich in melanin. When light energy is delivered to the melanin in the hair follicle, it generates heat and thereby damages the hair follicle. Laser hair removal results are easy, fast, safe, and effective on all skin colors. We are proud to be among the first in Qatar to offer this flexible and convenient treatment. At least 3-5 treatments spaced every 4-6 weeks apart are required for effective hair reduction.
Our laser clears deep blue, purple and red leg veins in only a few easy treatments. The light pulses the blood within the leg veins. The heat of the blood affects the vessel lining, which causes the vessel to constrict and eventually fade from view.
The treatments are skin-safe and comfortable. The laser delivers its energy in one smooth, gentle pulse, to protect the skin from a sharp rise in temperature. Your skin is also continually cooled, so that you feel little heat from the laser pulses.
Rosacea is a hereditary condition which usually appears around 30 years of age. It is more common in women and is characterized first by the appearance of broken blood vessels around the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin. Flushing symptoms can arise with exposure to exacerbating factors such as spicy foods, hot beverages, sun exposure, and cheese.
The only effective method of treating the blood vessels and flushing in rosacea is by eliminating the superficial vessels. This is accomplished by using a laser which targets vasculature. Anywhere from 1 to 5 treatments may be required depending on the extent of the rosacea.
